Our high-resolution Siemens CT is one of very few 192-slice scanners in the country. Its speed means shorter breath-holds, sharper images of moving organs such as the heart, and fast scanning for injured or unwell patients. It also powers CT angiography of the heart, brain and limb vessels. The control room sits beside the scanner, so the radiographer can see and speak to you throughout.
Unlike a closed tunnel, our MRI is open on the sides. That reduces anxiety for people who fear enclosed spaces and makes scanning possible for larger patients and children who need a parent nearby. MRI uses no X-rays, which makes it ideal for the brain, spine, joints and soft tissues.
HD 3D/4D ultrasound, colour Doppler and high-definition endoscopy are performed by our doctors, with results explained before you leave whenever possible.

Our open-type MRI has a magnet above and below and is open on the sides, so most people who feel anxious in a closed tunnel scanner find it far more comfortable. Tell our team when you book so they can explain the scan and support you on the day.
Yes. The reception has a seated waiting area where family members can wait while the patient is scanned. Our staff will call you when the patient is ready or when the report can be collected.
